What is Scamy.io?
Scamy.io began as a small weekend experiment my mother kept asking whether the websites she wanted to use to buy a jacket for her my father were legitimate. She was determined to find the best deal, even if it meant wandering into some of the most suspicious corners of the internet and abusing my security expertise.
Those requests triggered a question: could we create a system that quickly answers the question—is this website fake or not?
Drawing on collective experience in security operations and threat analysis, we set out to translate the work of a SOC analyst into code. What started as a quick prototype soon grew into something much bigger.
Fast forward nearly a year, and Scamy.io has evolved from a weekend challenge into a full-fledged project with complex infrastructure, AI agents, web scrapers, and an algorithm that analyzes over 60+ parameters to determine whether a website can be trusted.
We have continuously strived for excellence, working to refine the algorithm, which is now among the best in its class. For more details, check below a deep dive analysis into how Scamy compares to other security engines.

Now, after gaining a strong foundation in the domain analysis, we are now pioneering a new era of email protection: next-generation AI-powered anti-phishing advisors having the same purpose in our mind: keeping people safe from scammers.
